I think I have asked you this before, but have you ever faked illness to leave work? (Not just calling in sick, but actually leaving the office?)

I wish I had the guts to send my boss a note that says I have to go home because of something really embarrassing, like explosive diarrhea or a terrible rash "in a very inconvenient place". . . something so bad he wouldn't have the guts to call me out on it.

Any suggestions?

well if you just say you're feeling awful that shoudl be enough, but your boss asks, then just same girl troubles (especially if the boss is male).

or that you havea really bad upset stomach is always a good one.

I perfer the always vague "family emergency."

migraine. It's pretty easy to fake.

The problem with migraine is that it can backfire. "Oh no, you shouldn't drive in that condition!" Happened to my old coworker -- our freaky boss called her and demanded she turn around so the boss could drive her home. She didn't.

I've stuck it out this long. I think I can do 2 more hours.
