Insult to Injury

SO. . . it was wrong of me to let my vehicle registration lapse.

But I paid a $113 ticket as punishment.

And I went downtown to the county courthouse in person this morning to pay the registration, because I couldn't do it online.

When I came back out to my car, I had a $30 parking ticket.

(The meter I parked in front of was no good between 7am - 9am, but I didn't notice that when I put my money in it.)

Perhaps an innocent girl could catch a break BUT YOU ARE A LAWBREAKING FIEND.

MAYBE IF YOU PUT DOWN THE BONG AND STARTING RENEWING YOUR REGISTRATION ON TIME YOU'D STILL HAVE THAT $150.

And that kind of scratch buys a bunch of chronic, DOESN'T IT, MERE?

I just need a personal assistant who will sort through my mail, pay my bills on time and clean the house so I can go to work and keep doing all of my school projects.

P.S.
Maybe I should skip the chronic and invest in some speed.

Can Eebs & I be your live-in bulter & maid? Having an English butler would be like so cool! :)

ugh i HATE going downtown to pay a ticket. you wait in line forever and my ticket was way more than the officer told me it would. it was for running a red (yellow/red) light and it was $260. I didn't even have that much in my checking account so my mom had to go transfer money to my account so the check wouldn't bounce. screw you, downtown dallas.

i associate downtown dallas with paying fines, renewing my lisence, and people driving at you the wrong way on a 1-way street. grrr. and with kennedy's death. that's no fun either.

I'm sorry Mere. At least you earned your ticket. They were trying to send my ass to a collections agency for a parking ticket that was given 9 months after I sold my car. It took umpteen phone calls and 3 visits to the tax offices to get them the paperwork they needed, I finally had to have Jason do it because I couldn't deal with those people again.

And they never did send me anything saying it was taken care of, just stopped sending threats. So it's either all good, or it really did go to an agency.
