I just had my second observation from Region 10 (governing body of first year teachers) and the "observer" said that in her 25 years in education that I was "the best first year teacher she has ever seen." The second time I have heard such a compliment
Okay, thats RAD.
I don't really believe it, but I think it does mean I'm doing alright. I do know how to put on a show. For most people, working with kids is the most stressful, insane, and generally nerve racking experience ever. For me....not the case. RE: HOPE.
I miss you guys.

That's ace, congratulations
Got any tips?
I'm in my first teaching practice (I have a class of really lovely 6 year olds) and I have my first lesson observation next week, and I'm hoping to do well. I'm used to slightly older children so pitching things for 6 year olds is quite difficult. I'm going to make my lessons really interactive and exciting, using lots of music and art (as those are the things I loved when I was a kid). I'm really enjoying interacting with the children and I'm finding it very rewarding and exciting. I can't wait for Thursday and our Science lesson on magnets, I have a really cool demonstration planned, it's going to blow their tiny little minds!
Retraining as a primary teacher has been the best decision ever- I LOVE it!
