i think you're being a bit of a knob about it all really, even if you don't think so. it dosen't matter how popular things are, if people like it they like it innit. leave them to watch football and you can watch the young girls in spandex and fat sweaty men with their beers. everyones happy

All I'm saying is Americans would much rather see a 16 year old girl in tight spandex bang her cervix against a long uneven bar than see 22 grown men in tube socks and shin guards play "footie" with each other.

However, since some of you Forkers seem fascinated with swarthy men and their balls, I thought Bocce might satisfy your needs AND attract the interest of us non-footie fans. Besides, you can drink beer and play Bocce at the same time:

Like I've ever given a rat's ass about what's popular in the US...
preach it brotha!!!

and for all those interested in tv ratings:

the world cup final had better national ratings than any game of the mavericks-heat finals series.

Lighten up Jan and Stephen. I'm just trying to stir things up and have a little fun since most the "hot" topics around here lately have been limited to soccer (football), missing (or dead) musicians and steveum's tour of Texas (I mean America). Not that there's anything wrong with those subjects, but it's been getting a little stale and I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

So fuck off and bring it on! How about calling me a little something more creative than a knob or a troll? Phyllis has it all over you guys in the insult department.

why are you still hanging around here anyway? why don't you just stay at the spreebies board? or get a hobby.

there are lots of hobbies. bocce, for instance. or you could scrapbook or sew. there are lots of crafts you can do, actually. you could start playing poker. or pool. but you'd probably need friends for that, and i'm guessing you're lacking in the friends department. so stick to solitaire maybe. or you could watch the game show network all day. be creative.

heh heh. jan and stephen take note.

EDIT: However, creating a "Hobbies" section on Forkers in order to share all of our diverse activities with each other could be very very interesting and fun. Phyllis, you're brilliant!
