yeah, we do some work for a subsiduary of an american company that was sold recently (to another subsiduary of an american company) so they have a whole department dedicated to it who seemed to forget about what we do until the last minute before their audit....

trouble is only a quarter of their financial requirements can be met by our current IT system (the one we were due to get to replace it would have covered off 100%) - so i've had to write a bunch of stuff to request IT upgrades that probably won't happen as no-one will agree to pay for it.

another reason for leaving asap before the whole lot goes tits up....
