Re: Is this a bad sign?
my friend lives in Alameda on a really nice street and they must bus the kids in from Oakland...she gets like 800+ kids a year.
she goes to costco and stocks up on the candy and each kid gets like 1 piece.

Re: Is this a bad sign?
I think it was Day Light Savings combined with Halloween on a Friday night. Things just got started so late this year. We took the kids out and there was only about five houses giving out candy.I wish I had known you needed candy. I have 2 big bags left over since we only had 12(!) trick-or-treaters this year. (We had more like 50-60 last year.)
I appreciated the city of Richardson guys for staying til 9 p.m. on a Friday night to fix the water leak down the street, but their mess scared away all of our neighborhood kids I guess. And our house looked good too, with polka dotted jack o'lanterns and candles all over the place.

It was either that or we were in a Democrat heavy neighborhood. The whole spread-the-wealth-of-candy myth is exactly that. Next year we are staying in our own county and hitting all the rich fat cat Republican hoods.

We're not really fat cat types, but we apparently live in a Republican hood. We have dozens of McCain-Palin yard signs around us -- even the young couple across the street!Next year we are staying in our own county and hitting all the rich fat cat Republican hoods.
