I'm so gullible. It didn't even occur to me the first video was a fake until Michael said.

I also thought it was really interesting once when a friend's mom told me that back in NYC when she was a kid they could only get tortillas in cans. A few hours later I was like, "waaaait a minute!"

I'm dumb.

also, Little Mermaid > Any animated anything ever. And Nick Petera should have left it alone.

I don't know. That was my strong initial reaction, but for some reason, this second one makes me buy it a little bit, like, make it more believable? Maybe? I don't know, what do you guys think?

I love the Little Mermaid, too, but JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH!!!

And who could forget that super creepy Raggedy Ann and Andy cartoon movie from the 80's. That shits was trippy.

Or how about the Phantom Tollbooth?

...and, OOOH: Fantasia. Yeah.

i am inclined to believe that's actually him. i don't know nuthin' about proper singing, as i pretend i sing but really can't, but that noise just looks like it belongs coming out of him. it's something in the breathing. and the female part in aladdin (haven't watched the little mermaid one yet, i'll get around to it) sounds just like someone pushed the "higher" button on his voice. i think it's definitely the same person singing both parts - whether it's specifically that guy or not, who can say?

also: james and the giant peach as well as the phantom tollbooth are amazing books. the movies? not as much. but the books are where it is fucking AT.

and the little mermaid is the best thing ever.

I'll give you Phantom Tollbooth, but the James and the Giant Peach movie was effing beautiful.

I might be inclined to *consider* that it might be him, until the Little Mermaid tape, which I admitedly only watched 10 seconds of, but I refuse to believe he can do Jasmine and Ariel that well.

...James / Giant Peach wasn't really animated, was it? Claymation, no? Still, it will never compete w/ Little Mermaid or Nightmare Before Christmas in my book, just because of how old I was when they all came out.

Also, Fantasia - great acomplishment for its time, but entertainment value? Yawn.

there are very few instances where i like a movie better than the book. i grew up reading that book, so the movie just didn't live up to what i envisioned in my head. haven't seen it since i was a kid, though, so maybe i'd appreciate it more now.

I should have added, "mind-altering substances notwithstanding."
