I don't know how the syllabus has changed between eebs and I being at school, but calculus is not part of the compulsory maths course that you must take age 16. Most people who don't take maths at A-level probably don't know what differentiation or integration is; I know I certainly wouldn't.pre-calculus. did they not have it way back when you were in school, great uncle eebs?i already took it in highschool, so i basically just want an easy A because I fear real calculus.
thanks great niece Dalya. looking at the wiki entry it looks suspiciously like what we studied in O level physics. Probably a good job that I decided to quit maths and physics while I was still ahead (somehow fluked Grade A in both of these for my O levels).pre-calculus. did they not have it way back when you were in school, great uncle eebs?i already took it in highschool, so i basically just want an easy A because I fear real calculus.
Our maths syllabus was spent doing equations and writing sisters of mercy song titles on the desks. that and wondering why the teacher kept going to the cupboard (when someone burst in one time he had half a cream cake stuffed in his mouth). he also used to write on the board left handed while facing the class and on one occasion carried on to far and fell to the floor, almost knocking himself out. strange chap.
