the idea whose time has come is one step closer to reality

today, for lunch, i made chicken bacon skewers.

you take a boneless skinless chicken breast. cut it into thin strips. then you take a piece of bacon and you place it on top of the breast, and then you put them on a bamboo skewer. grill or broil them in the oven for about 15 minutes.

it's forkin' DELICIOUS.

the recipe i have includes a delicious lemon pepper and honey glaze, but i didn't have the lemon pepper, so i just sprinkled it with my own homemade seasoning (a hearty mix of garlic, onion, and various peppers) and it tasted wonderful.

with the overwhelmingly heavenly taste of bacon and chicken playing together like a savory, flavorful combo. it's like Captain & Tennille, except in chicken-bacon form.

bamboo skewer.
Be sure to soak the skewers in water for a few minutes first so they don't burn up!

Sounds delish'.

I did something kinda like that recently. Except I wrapped bacon around shrimp and then slathered barbecue sauce on it.

It was gentile-licious!
