Boston's tunnels freaked me out. I'm a surface dweller.

My husband was just showing me Boston's tunnels on one of those car rental maps he got on a trip the week before last. He left the airport via the Ted Williams tunnel (which charges a toll) but went back by the Callahan tunnel (no toll). He was telling me that the Ted Williams was not a real tunnel - not dug out - but rather tubes laid under the water for cars to drive through.

scary. i drove into boston last night and traffic was insane cause the airport tunnel was closed. i'll suffer through the traffic if it means i am not trapped dying in the bullshit big dig.

the big dig is RIDICULOUS. i have to pay five dollars to get to and from boston if taking the pike. ridiculous. the motto of the contractors taking care of the big dig is, "don't kill the job." ugh.
