I think fan was the wrong choice of words. I wasn't screaming at the ref as much. That makes more sense. The refs were actually talking to a player after a foul instead of booking him.how could you ever be a refs fans???
What is it with Europeans and headbutting anyways?

Thats odd. I could swear they were saying the voting closed at halftime on TV. I guess they assumed it was the same as previous years?http://sports.aol.com/worldcup/story/_a ... 1309990001Apparently the votes were turned in at half time of the final, so his ejection wasn't figured in. I read something just now that said that Zidane's mother had been taken to the hospital that morning and Materazzi called him the son of a terrorist something or other. That would probably piss me off.he still won the MVP. I think there is a lot of media types out there who don't like them damned dirty Italians.
So if those journalists stuck to their opinion about Zidane, it certainly implies something about their opinion of Materazzi and the Italians to me.

he did indeed, not mention what Materazzi told him (but yes, it had to do with his mother and sister). He also apologized to the kids and fans. However he doesn't regret his behaviour!my prediction on zidane speaking out later today:
zidane will say he is sorry for losing his cool. his actions were not what should be expected of a top footballer and what was said will stay on the pitch. he should not have let words get to him. he will apologize to team, country and fifa.
San *Zizou on t'aime* dra!
Sweet head-butt for Liberté!And Zidane just keeps on head butting!!!
