"it's a place in North London"

I thought about making it "shport" in general, but I really don't care about the others.

blimey! it's a long way back from South Yorkshire when you've lost 1.0.

damn fine work against Cardiff today. I was rather shocked to discover Pompey hadn't won the F.A. since 1939. That's quite the drought.

well in that time we were league champions twice in the late 40's and made a couple of semi finals but spent a lot of time in the lower leagues - even down to div 4 at one point in the 80's.

There's a bit more detail on the leagues and cup performances here - http://www.fchd.info/PORTSMOU.HTM

One that stands out-

2001-02 3 LEYTON ORIENT H 1-4

I couldn't speak for 2 hours after Orient put 3 past us in the second half (they were 2 divs below us). At least we had an excuse the next year....

2002-03 3 MANCHESTER UNITED A 1-4

i think we're selling them all to rich european clubs for lots of cash - Krancjar's linked with Arsenal for £10 million, Diarra has a gentleman's agreement he can go to a Euro giant for same sort of fee - perhaps Morrow can guilt trip Tony Adams into letting FCD have defoe, nugent and campbell for a summer vacation

the weather in Frisco is lovely in the summer, and I think we have a couple day games scheduled. Blue skies, 100 degree temps... prime conditions.

we just fired an assistant coach who was also just hired, so there's an opening on the bench. brush up on your spanish, try translating, "yes coach, I am fully behind the 3-4-1-2." and you'll probably be here for awhile.
