Strokes CD

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

I totally forgot that I got this record almost 2.5 months ago. I'll have to give it another listen, but I'm guessing I won't like it that much.

whatevs I standby my assertion that this record kicks ass. it's one of those records you have to listen all the way through three times before you like it, and then you don't take it out of your player for two weeks.

Trust me; I tried to love it. Granted, I tried even harder with Apologies To Queen Mary and that record still doesn't do it for me. But I still tried five or six times to love this record and I simply cannot get past the 4th track anymore. I think it's a lost cause.

i think the strokes are more overrated than any other band. "Last Night" was decent... thats about it. they are so fucking boring... i think a keane/strokes/bloc party tour is my worst nightmare...

You can't possibly mean that :(
Oh, but I do, dear Steveums. I do.

Black Eyed Peas. It's a modern classic.

So, let me get this straight.

Dalya and Steve both like that shitty Humps song?

- Mere "oh my, I try not to get judgmental about catchy pop songs, but this one is the WORST of all time in my opinion -- up there with that 'Wasn't Me' shit" 1975

I finally got around to buying this record. I like it, too.

They're boring as fuck live, but I still liked that first record (the one with NYC Cops and the naked chick on the front, not that US release with that other song). The second album was just more of the same, but there are some ok songs on there.

This one is quite a bit different, and glad to hear it. I won't go see them live, because they're boring as fuck. But as anyone knows, sometimes bands aren't as good live as they are in the studio. And very much vice versa.

yeah.. I have pit tickets to the show next month, so I'm gonna get up next to the stage and throw stuff at them until they get more interesting.

I don't think I could really smuggle that in inside my boots like I can smuggle in a flask and some spliffs.

which one is the humps song?
The humps song is by the Black Eyed Peas.

The Strokes one I put in that category is the one that goes, "I've got nothing to sayyyyyy, I've got nothing to sayyyyyy, I've got nothing to sayyyyyy, I've got nothing to sayyyyyy."
