glastonbury

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Guaranteed for there to be an ace band playing at some point of the day, but the tickets are a bajillion pounds. :(

Plus, there is the small problem of the hippies...

note it's only a small problem cos none of the hippies can afford to go and the superfence stops them bunking in.

i've been to bonnaroo! it don't get more hippie than seeing phish at bonnaroo while on mushrooms.

there are hippies and then there are crusty hippies. there is a difference and i'm obligated to point it out every time i hear someone say "smelly hippie" which is quite frequently. ;)

You know how I know you're a smelly hippie? You went to Bonnaroo and didn't notice people's b.o.

oh lol. that was a good one. but i DEFINITELY noticed me and jason's b.o. not showering for four days + jumping around like nuts at various shows + dirt = stink city. this year we have VIP tickets (thanks, mom & dad!) so we get free hot showers. i am so utilizing that shit.

hippie sub-groups are a funny thing. Unfortunately most people run into the crusties and that tarnishes the image of the whole. It's kinda like saying all Christians are like Baptists or all Police Officers are Southern Dummies. It's not true but it's a stereotype that lingers. Probably due to olfactory memory because man they smell. The hippies that is...

and maybe the Baptists.

Sweet lineup but no chance of going. Maybe I'll watch it on tv...glad I experienced it once though...what an experience too...

get a load of this.
it seems almost mental to type it, but i'm going to be playing at glastonbury this year!

Friday, [EDIT: 2:45pm], bandstand - Boxcar Aldous Huxley
http://www.myspace.com/boxcaraldoushuxleyband

would be supremely neat to see anyone who is going - let me know if you are

katie: glastonbury is the spiritual home of crusties. not just the festival, but the whole flipping place.
