I work with a lot of people that I've never met in person, only over the phone. My coworker Deanna is always surprised when she meets people in person. She says she always expects them to be more attractive than they are. I, on the other hand, always expect them to be less attractive than they really are.

Except one time, when I thought this guy was full of himself and obnoxiously over-confident. I expected him to be tall and handsome... Turns out he was just over-compensating for his generally toady appearance wuith an equally toady attitude.

One time, we were about to meet an employee in Florida who had helped us out a ton after we were acquired by Citi, so we drew pictures of her to see if anyoue would be close. Not at all. We were all guessing tall, attractive, trendy. . . and she is kind of squatty with reddish hair and no make-up.

I still like her, of course. It was just an odd experience, and she seemed kind of put off by our drawings of her.

I do have dark hair that is in the very early stages of turning grey. I'm not much of a rock climber, but I am the outdoors type (boogie boarding, mountain biking, skiing, etc.). As for posting a real picture of myself... I'm afraid I must decline for now (maybe when mr. j posts a picture). However, many of my family, friends and clients say I look like:
