haha they sell sheet pans that do the same thing. ;) those are what I use to make my mini cupcakes. Newest order is for a wedding (my first). thankfully it's a casual affair in a home, but of course it's a wedding so things must be perfect. flavors are: chocolate cake with grand marnier whipped cream frosting; caramel with caramel cream cheese buttercream frosting, and a passion fruit cake with maybe a light ginger frosting (haven't decided yet). :D

but yes, mini cupcakes HELL YES!!!!

Um, YUM.

But no, this doesn't do the same thing that mini cupcake pans do. Those require preheating an oven, for one thing. This baby makes cupcakes in five to eight minutes. It's like a grown up Easy Bake oven*!

I like my gratification to be the instant kind, tyvm.

*full disclosure: I never had an Easy Bake oven as a child, and I always wanted one, so as a result I may be overly impressed with tiny baking machines.

yeah I never had an easy bake oven, but we did have corndog maker that looked a lot like this cupcake baker.

I will say that mini cupcakes are the best things since sliced bread.

my one question is how do you only make enough batter for one pass or are you standing there making loads of trays of cupcakes 8 at a time? with two trays of 24 minis I'm out the door in 20 mins. ;-)

Better that it only makes a few: you don't have to share!!

(I am a youngest child, so on top of not getting an Easy Bake Oven, or a Barbie Jeep, I never learned to share.)

Me too. Especially waiting for people. If I have to wait too long I start to think they don't like me and by the time they arrive I'm mad. (I say "they" like this ever applies to anyone except McCullough...)

P.S. this is why I'm often late, especially to potentially awkward situations. If I won't know a lot of people at an event, I haaaaaate waiting. I'd rather suffer the wrath of showing up late.

P.P.S. Sometimes it's because I'm putting on make-up. Or finishing an episode of Real Housewives [Wherever]
