Fine. I think what makes it worse is the lack of infrastructure to deal with it. It's really not a lot of snow (even in the heavy hit areas...it's not a lot). But they're about as good as Texas at dealing with it. Maybe a bit worse because they can't seem to grit the roads, at least where I live.

Thing is, they're predicting more for the weekend, and there's not really an end in sight...

I've not been to a game in 2010 :(

We haven't been too badly affected at home - about 2-3 inches of snow, most of which has gone now. As James says, the infrastructure isn't set up for weather like this. The last big freeze like this was in 1962-63 (my parents got married that winter, you can see the snow in some of their wedding photos!), so I can understand why councils aren't spending money on snowploughs etc that in all likelihood would spend their working life gathering dust.

Main roads around here have been gritted but it's not much consolation when you can't get to them as the side roads are blocked up. There used to be big grit boxes around here for people to use to keep pavements / roads clear but they all seem to have disappeared.

Weekend of reading and wii awaits!

Saw some mega snow on the way in to work today. But thankfully it was isolated.

It was fun for a day or two off of work to begin with... but having to walk to/from the station, not knowing if trains were running, taking 5 hours to get to work was major suck!

22 days now, starting to get withdrawals - fingers crossed should be a game tomorrow. With the bank holiday and midweekers I've missed 7 games through postponements so far this month :?

kick out the snow motherfuckers!
