looking at the blog, it looks like someone's trying to rally up the fans without actually giving a shit about 'em!

the lyrics remind me of southpark last night when the manitees were writing all the Family Guy jokes by picking an idea ball with a verb, noun or pop culture reference written on it...looks like tim has been doing the same there except he's run out of idea balls i.e. he's running out of old tripping daisy/spree lyrics to rehash

He can't advertise his tribute band or publish his interpretations of the music or make comments regarding TD, so he did lose something.

What he really lost, and is probably afraid to admit it, is the fact that the fucks in charge needed him to do anything "progressive." Message him and ask him about doing the "scores" for the old stuff. Timmy-D did.
