well, our derivatives from other languages are weird, i guess.

the plural of vagina is vaginae.
the plural of cul de sac is culs de sac. (funny gilmore girls episode)

honestly, who is so proper that they say "vaginae"? (i guess it's more important to ask who every refers to more than one vagina in a sentence, though)
