A Ben Folds Halloween

Postby mere1975 » Fri Sep 29, 2006 12:42 pm

Anyone going to the 10/31 Ben Folds show in Fort Worth? I just found out about it and tickets go on sale today.

I have class that night, so I shouldn't. . .

I got an email about this yesterday, and I squealed out loud in my cubicle!

So, yes, I will be going.

ok, not really. I have school that night too but I'm out @ 8 and UTA's only 20 minutes from Will Rogers. So I'm thinking about it, still undecided...

And maybe Weezer/Tenacious D? And the Flaming Lips? I used to be able to remember all of this kind of stuff. Venues, details. . .

Now here is where it gets confusing. There is a Will Rogers Auditorium, which is where Beck/Flaming Lips played, and there is the bigger Will Rogers Coliseum where Rage Against the Machine/Girls Against Boys played. I believe they are both in the Will Rogers memorial complex. Tenacious D/Weezer played the Ft. Worth Convention Center Arena downtown.

As long as it's a concert/show that I attended as well...sure!

Anyone remember where Offrping/No Use For a Name played in Ft. Worth in '95?

I wonder if I can make it to Austin on Friday night, see Ben Folds, and be at work at 8am on Saturday?

Well, anyone who is there on Halloween, look for me in the first row of the balcony/box seats. No tall bastard is gonna stand in front of me this time, dammit! Woohoo. As I recall, the Will Rogers Auditorium is a fairly "intimate" venue, so these should be ideal seats, key word here being SEATS.

Rebecca, forget Austin. Go to Houston and see Ben play with the Houston Symphony...damn Houston for being so far away and so yuckkyy.

$29.50 plus the usual exorbitant Ticketbastard fees and taxes.

Sybil

p.s. I think the Houston show is a bit more pricey, just in case you were considering that one. :D
