The nasty business of business

Postby aquaphase » Wed Oct 07, 2009 5:02 am

I don't ask for money, it's just not something I feel comfortable doing.

That being said, I'm going to break my cardinal rule and ask for money to help keep Forkers running the way it's been running. As with just about everything in life, hosting and storage prices have gone up and the bill for this year is well over $300. I used to offset this with the Forkers shirts, but I've still got a crapload of the red and white ones and no extra capital right now to have new ones printed.

So, if you have a few bucks to spare and are willing to part with them, go to the link below and apply that cash to the hosting bill. I get no access to these funds. This money is applied directly to the hosting bill for Forkers Central and I have no way of syphoning off any of it for another trip to Florida. I am trying to come up with appropriate tokens of gratitude for donators, and I'll post those ideas here when I get them solidified. Thank you mucho (in advance).

oh wow...never realized it cost so much to run this place. yikes! donation made.

but perhaps we can downsize or something to keep future costs lower? I'm you know the deal as you've been doing it, but it's a thought.

Thanks for making it happen Justin!

There really isn't a downsize option. I've got a really sweet plan that just isn't offered anymore, so the only way out is up.

I, too wish the server went to the bar with us. I could get it drunk and take advantage of it other than the opposite.

I really do seriously appreciate the folks who have dipped in and helped out. I've been straining to come up with an appropriate punishment for doing so.s

It's a small price to pay to keep this place like we like it.

That said, I want a black forkers shirt, and am willing to pay for it. Maybe 3 if you make them in baby sizes...

and/or a brown and green one as was discussed earlier...

so been thinking this has to be an ongoing expense, right?

maybe there's a way to know an amount we can chip in monthly to offset costs?

cousin samantha turned her red and white forkers shirt into an off the shoulder girly thing. perhaps we need to get the scissors out and make more of these. for the ladies.

Mine's a tank top. Wore it to Warrior Dash, wearing it to Jailbreak, holla!
