Re: Ask the Person Below You

I'm already incredibly annoyed by it. It's as if nothing else is happening here but that. Even the BBC has turned into a Royals tabloid. That said, it is a positive point in the bleak sea this country has been lately, so...

Pulp

Britpop's greatest band has reformed for festivals in 2011. I have tix to see them in Hyde Park. It's always funny where life takes you, and I never really thought I'd be here, but in light of this, I'm glad I am.

And I'm glad I'll be there.

Please feel free to be jealous now.

Re: The National

Boxer was a good album, but no doubt it was over-hyped. I think there are 6-8 really great songs and the rest is filler. I think it was people jumping the gun, really. on High Violet, there is no filler at all. And yes, "Bloodbuzz Ohio" on HV, but I wouldn't say it stands out from the rest.

The National

I know there has been discussion before, and I know some people like them, others hate them or find them boring. I liked them ok for the most part. ...but "High Violet" leaves everything they've done to this point in the dust. It's one of the best albums I've heard in my life. I didn't thi...

Re: Bun in the Proverbial Oven

This is such brilliant news! I mentioned to Emma and she's over the moon and wanted me to pass on her congrats as well.

If I can pass on one bit of advice though: for the love of K, sleep now. All the time. Every chance you get.

if the UK got good Mexican food, I might never leave...that's the only reason I come home ;) Oh it's here, you just have to know wher to look. Like Amy said, it's pretty trendy at the moment so places are popping up. But there have always been a few that have been excellent. There's one in Hitchin ...

I'm a bit disappointed with the Capricorn song. And he's completely wrong about the Capricorn sex part.

Was listening to the radio. Were we as robbed on that 3rd goal as they made it sound?
Yep. In fact, there were two fouls against Slovenia that weren't called on the same play as the phantom US foul...

Re: World Cup 2010

I'll take that draw. Yeah, cause England's kicking our ass in the Gulf of Mexico. True, although that's a double whammy for Americans, as it's 39% American owned and 2/3rds of their employees are American. And though it's traded on the FTSE, chances are, if you have a 401K, it's probably partially ...

I love that album, but I don't have the time, funds or inclination to buy anything from any artist that is already "made".

Ja"and that goes for the La's box set too....BOX SET!...they only ever had one album..."mes

That's very awesome Steve. It doesn't matter where you played, but that you played it. Glad to have more Glastoforkers....
