Re: dallas is now another pansy no smoking in bars town
I'm happy with the smoking ban here. Maybe I'm just a bit more sensitive to smoke now (I used to smoke), but going to gigs or to a pub would give me a headache, watery eyes and sore throat. Before the ban it wasn't like I had a choice of going to gigs/pubs that had chosen to be smoke free -- there w...

Re: mumbai
I just got a message from one of the guys who is out in India.
They had to change their travel arrangements slightly,
but are still due to fly out of Mumbai and should be home on Sunday.
Scary stuff.

Re: mumbai
About a dozen of my old co-workers are there to train people for new work that is being outsourced. I had a text message from someone who's at my old office in the UK saying that everyone in India was okay, but they are supposed to be flying back home on Saturday. They are just outside of Mumbai. Pl...

Re: What was the first band you....
When I was 12 I became totally obsessed with U2. I guess I couldn't consider them *my band* because so much of the rest of the world loved them too, but I did get really in to a lot of the old stuff that I don't remember anyone else (at least my age) talking about/listening too. I bought all the old...

Re: AMERICA!
I was having crazy ass dreams about election coverage and coloured maps and being stuck on some kind of spaceship with a bunch of McCain supporters. Then magically woke up just in time to watch the electoral votes tick over 270. Then I cried tears of joy.
